Regimental Headquarters Buildings
Although not common, once in a while regimental main gate cups can be found. Rarer are trays
and bottles with these designs.

Generally the regiment number can be seen on the front gate post or nearby, but sometimes the
inscription will tell what regiment gate is shown.

Because of the complexity of the pattern, these designs are always stamped or a photo transfer.

The building in the center looks like the main gate of a
regiment headquarters. Inscribed '7th Infantry,
Discharge Commemorative'.
The inscription reads, 'Discharge Commemorative'.

the Imperial
kiri crest and other decoration.

The characters read 'Field Infantry 2nd Regiment, China
Incident Dispatch Commemorative'.
Inscribed 'Army Academy, Dispatch Commemorative' and on the reverse
'9th Infantry Discharge, Morita.'

There is also a famous poem: 'Your body is lighter than a feather, but duty is heavier than a mountain. Do your duty and you can return home and enjoy the blossoms.'
