Lacquered wood sake cup from Imperial Japan, dated 1917. Nice gold
gilt Army star and blossoms. Inscribed 'Commemorative' and on the
reverse '[?] Regimental Flag Festival, Taisho 6 [1917].'
Tattered regiment flag. The characters read
'13th Infantry, 52nd Anniversary of Receiving
the Regimental Flag Commemorative.'
The 13th Regiment was from Kumamoto and
was established in Meiji 8 [1875], so this cup
dates to 1927.
Crossed rifles and regiment flag.  The characters on the
reverse read '50th Infantry, Stationed in Manchuria
Commemorative.'
Inscribed 'Taisho 14 [1925], 8th Cavalry, 26th
Annual Regimental flag Festival'.

Inscribed in the flag 'Infantry 42nd Regiment' and on the reverse
'Meiji 31 [1898] March 24th Commemorative'.
The inscription reads, '14th Infantry, 58th Annual Regimental
Flag Festival'.
The 14th Regiment was from Kokura and was established in
Meiji 10 [1877], so this cup dates to 1935.

Japan-occupied
Manchuria. Note
the tattered
regiment flag.
The inscription reads, 'Regimental Flag Image, Infantry 11th
Regiment' and a poem, I think.

The 11th Regiment was from Hiroshima and was established in
Meiji 8 [1875].
Tattered regiment flag. Inscribed '22nd Infantry' and on the
reverse 'Showa 7 [1932] 47th Annual Regiment Flag
Festival'.
The 22nd Regiment was from Matsuyama and was
established in Meiji 19 [1886].
Inscribed 'Infantry 19th Regiment, 48th Annual
Receipt of the Regiment Standard Commemorative.'
The 19th Regiment was from Nagoya and was
established in Meiji 19 [1886], so this cup dates to
1934.
Tattered regiment flag. The characters read 'Infantry 17th
Regiment, 16th Annual Regimental Flag Festival.'
The 17th Regiment was from Sendai and was established in
Meiji 19 [1886], so this cup dates to 1902.
