| Raised design cups |
One interesting design feature is the raised pattern. There is a variety of different designs, but the most common ones are helmets and stars. Here are some pictures of a few examples. Of course, many cups have embossed figures on the reverses, and tokkuri seem somehow incomplete without some kind of embossed pattern. However, this page is limited to the rarer cups with embossed designs in the bowls. |
