This looks to be the Japanese War Dead
monument in Port Arthur. There is a gold
cherry blossom outline across the bowl.  
Inscribed on the reverse 'Gift from the city
of Port Arthur'.
Rare named hospital cup. This is from a hospital in Port
Arthur (Manchuria). The Japanese name of the city is
Ryojun and the Chinese name is Lushun. The characters
read 'Port Arthur Medical Hospital, Discharge
Commemorative.'
Inscribed 'Port Arthur Heavy Artillery, Furlough Commemorative'.
Inscribed 'Port Arthur Heavy Artillery Division Commemorative'.
The inscription reads, 'Yoshikawa' and on
the reverse 'Port Arthur Heavy Artillery
Unit'.
I'm not sure if the cane is a weapon of some sort. The tip is pointed like a
blade. Hand-painted.
