Lacquered wood sake cup with both the Imperial Ho-o birds and the IJN Anchor
and blossom.

Inscribed on the reverse 'Showa 3 [1928], Special Imperial Inspection of
Warship Commemorative'.

Too bad the name of the ship is not included!
Inscribed 'In Celebration of Discharge Commemorative,
Gift from Nagasawa, Sakuramoto'.
Inscribed 'In Celebration of Discharge Commemorative, Gift
from Nagasawa, Nomura'.  Note that the cup to the left was
given by the same person but to a different sailor. I got these
cups in the same batch.
Rare naval academy cup. Although Army Academy cups are
somewhat easy to find, naval ones rarely turn up.

An 8-pointed Academy star is above the traditional Navy design.
Inscribed 'Reservist Training Student, Graduation Commemorative,
Shibata'.
Superb photo of a sailor with his sake cup and award
document. The document is dated Showa 8 (1933) and
shows this sailor served aboard the Warship Kako. He
has a nice merit award silver cup with IJN anchor and
blossom in the center.

Thanks to Steve for this fine picture.
Scarce naval cup with airplane. Inscribed 'Navy Discharge
Commemorative'.
The pattern has an anchor and crossed brush pens.
Perhaps a naval stenographer? The inscription
reads, 'Discharge Commemorative, Nagasaka'.
