| This bottle has the Manchukuo flag (1932 to 1945) and an embossed, painted Imperial kiri crest. Very uncommon item. It has a rough finish, lightly glazed. Inscribed 'Manchuria Dispatch, Victorious Return Commemorative, 36th Infantry.' |
Very rare Kutani kiln tokkuri with Manchukuo flag and a Japanese battle flag. Nice
cherry blossom and banner decoration. The poem in the banner says 'Your body
is lighter than a feather, but duty is heavier than a mountain. Do your duty and you
can return home and enjoy the blossoms.'
The porcelain stopper is here, too, and these are almost always lost.
