A metal cup with an engraved Rising Sun badge.

Inscribed 'War Service Commemorative, Kempei, Japan/Russia War.'
*NOTE* The phrase 'Kempei' has been written on while the other characters are
engraved. This was probably done for a Kempei soldier who ordered the
already-engraved cup.
Kempei-tai (Military Police) page 2
Extremely rare Kempei-tai (military police) cup. Items associated with the Kempei-tai are very difficult to find.
Inscribed 'Army
Kempei Academy, Graduation Commemorative, Honda'. There is a poem of some sort in the center,
but I am not familiar with it.
Extremely scarce Kempei-tai (military police) pure silver sake cup set.
There are six cups here, which is rather uncommon. Each has the same inscription
on the side: 'Kempei Officers Corps.' The inscription on the bases matches the box
label. I cannot give a full translation, but the three lines describe 1) an address
(location) of the store 2) the store name and 3) the telephone number of the store.

The location reads something like 'Peking, Front Gate, Outside Row [??].'
Finding anything marked 'Kempei' is difficult, but a full set of silver cups rarely
appears. This is the first I have seen of its kind.

Each cup is stamped
jungin (pure silver).
Pre-war Police cup, fairly rare. 'Showa 8 [1933] January,
Martial Arts Tournament, Shinmachi Police Department'
inscribed on the reverse.
Police cup with gold gilt badge. The characters on the reverse
read 'Seto Police Department, New Building Completion
Commemorative'. Unknown age, but it appears to be pre-war.
Police cup from the 1930s, I think. These
fukizumi flower cups were usually made
during the 1920s and 30s.  Inscribed 'Police
10th Regiment, Enlistment Commemorative'. A
stamped police badge with hawk is in the
center. I'm trying to find out exactly what this
badge is.
