KABUTO (combat helmet) and
Design Base cups
Here are a few of the Kabuto (combat helmet) cups. These are really popular among collectors not
only because of how nice they look on display but also because there is a great variety.

Most have the same basic helmet design. Most often the cups will have an embossed Army star.
Also common are engraved characters on each side of the base with phrases like PATRIOT and
LOYALTY / BRAVERY.

Note that some have a shiny finish while others are kind of grainy. I prefer the latter, but of course
that's a matter of personal taste.
Artillery shell bases. The 5-shell base is much harder to find than the others.
Cherry blossom bases.
Naval cups, all rare.
Some examples of fighter plane bases. The green helmet cup is a bit
harder to find than the brown one. And the cup to the right is extremely
rare. I have only seen one. It has a cherry blossom outline with a tiny--but
detailed--plane in the base. The blue helmet cup has nice embossed flags,
also quite rare.
Two more cherry blossom bases, but the
cup to the left is covered with embossed
rucksack and various tools. The one to the
left has embossed flags.
Two 2-shell bases. The one on the right has larger shells.
The naval base cups will often have an
embossed cherry blossom instead of a
star. More rare are the embossed
anchors.
At first glance, a regular kabuto helmet cup. But this cup has an
embossed anchor, not a star. These naval helmet cups are
extremely scarce.
