The Engineer's Ax & Shovel insignia is
above. Inscribed 'China Incident,
Victorious Return Commemorative '.
Engineer cups page 2
Inscribed 'Engineer 4th Division, Discharge Commemorative '.
Interesting pattern with Chinese building in
the background, Japanese flag in the
foreground, and a makeshift bridge in the
center. The Engineer Units usually rigged up
these bridges. The inscription reads, 'China
Incident Commemorative'.
Inscribed 'Engineer Regiment Commemorative'. The kanji
for engineer is also repeated twice in the pattern. (It looks
like a capital 'I'.)
Kutani cup with large kanji meaning 'Good Fortune'.  Inscribed on the
reverse 'Engineer Academy, Detachment, Hirano'.
Kutani cup heavy with blossoms.  Inscribed 'Shanghai, Victorious
Return Commemorative, 9th Independent Engineer Unit, Ohta'.
Lacquered wood cup. The pattern has a nice gold gilt Army star.
Inscribed 'Engineer 9th Regiment, Manchuria Dispatch Commemorative'.
Pink fukizumi (blown ink) blossoms. These are almost
always done in green or blue.

Inscribed 'Engineer, Imai' and a poem that I cannot read.

It came with a paper wrap inscribed 'Commemorative
Sake Cup.'
Same as the cup to the left except the
buildings in the background are different.
The inscription reads, '11th Engineer,
Victorious Return Commemorative'.
Inscribed 'Engineer 17th Battalion, Furlough Commemorative, Higuchi.'
Inscribed 'Discharge Commemorative, Engineer 10th Division.'
Very rare design. The engineer ax & shovel are here along with a
three-pronged hook (anchor?).
Inscribed '9th Engineer, Discharge Commemorative.'
Inscribed '10th Engineer, Discharge
Commemorative '.

Engineer bridge design.
Inscribed 'China Incident, Victorious Return Commemorative.'
Rare makeshift bridge design. It looks like it was made with canoes.
Inscribed 'Engineer 19th Battalion, Commemorative.' I cannot identify the
poem/slogan.
