Lacquered wood cups with gold gilt patriotic phrases. The two smaller cups actually make up one slogan: kennin
jikyuu
, which means 'dogged perseverance'.  The large cup has this slogan: kyokoku icchi, which means 'United to
Give to the Country.'

On the reverse of the largest cup, this is inscribed: 'Japan/China Incident Commemorative' and 'Fukushima
Prefecture.'
The large black kanji read 'The Light [or Glory] of the Rise of Asia'.
Also inscribed 'Victorious Return Commemorative, China Incident,
Yoshikawa'.
The large black kanji read 'Loyalty & Bravery'.
Also inscribed '7th Infantry, Discharge Commemorative'.
