Budoku-kai
| Right-wing Military group BUDOKU-KAI. The badge on the cups is the membership badge. It reads BU-DOKU, which is called Greater Japan Martial Virtue Society. Another symbol of this group is a bow and two arrows. Archery (kyuudo in Japanese) is one of the main martial arts. It was established in 1895 'to restore the classical martial traditions and virtues of Samurai way and it mobilized the nation of Japan with powerful legacy of martial culture.' (quote from the official DAI NIPPON BUTOKU KAI website). Abolished after the war because of its bellicose nature. Revived in 1953 with 'a new philosophical vision', that is, it didn't promote war. |
